New Launch Singapore, JCube Mall will close in order to make room for a 40-story residential complex

New Launch Condo Singapore, the JCube mall in Jurong East Central will close so that construction may begin on a 40-story residential building with retail space on the first and second floors.

The government's ambitions to bring additional residences, businesses, recreational facilities, and amenities to the Jurong Lake District will be complemented by the new residential building, which is scheduled for completion in 2027, CapitaLand Development said on Tuesday.

According to CapitaLand, it is collaborating closely with the tenants and provide the required assistance to achieve a seamless transition of the New Launch Condo Singapore.

The J-Walk, a covered elevated pedestrian network in the neighborhood, would provide direct access from the new residential complex to the Jurong East MRT interchange station, Westgate, and IMM Building, according to the release.

The East-West and North-South lines are now served by Jurong East interchange station, which will also connect to the upcoming Jurong Region Line when it opens in stages starting in 2027.

The proposed construction will also be connected to the forthcoming Jurong East Integrated Transport Hub, which will have commercial areas as well as an air-conditioned bus interchange, a public library, a community club, and a sports center.

New Launch Condo Singapore is anticipated to go on sale in the second half of 2023, according to CapitaLand Development Singapore's CEO, Mr. Tan Yew Chin.
